Momentum, presented by EO Houston in collaboration with Rice University’s Lilie Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a unique program designed for small business owners ready to take their companies to the next level. This transformative experience offers access to exclusive classes, forums, coaching, and high-impact networking opportunities—all aimed at helping you grow your business past the $1 million revenue mark in less than 2 years. With in-person classes held at the heart of Houston’s entrepreneurial community, Momentum plugs you into a powerful ecosystem of peers, mentors, and resources to accelerate your success.
The Momentum program is a powerful three-part journey designed to help growth-minded entrepreneurs scale their businesses through world-class EDUCATION, peer-to-peer learning in FORUM, and deep community engagement through EVENTS.
1. Education
This 10-month course is designed for business owners who are ready to break through growth barriers and build sustainable, scalable companies. Throughout the program, you’ll actively work on your own business—developing tools, strategies, and systems that drive measurable results. Momentum is powered by coaches and facilitators drawn from the robust network of Rice University alumni and some of the most accomplished entrepreneurs from EO Houston. Their combined expertise and real-world experience ensure that every session delivers actionable insight and high-impact value .
a. Deliverables
The key deliverable of Year 1 in the Momentum program is a comprehensive Operating Manual—custom-built by each entrepreneur—to run and scale their business effectively. This manual includes systems, strategies, and frameworks tailored to their company’s growth. Year 2 of the program shifts to a hands-on, collaborative format focused on the applied execution of the tools and concepts developed in Year 1, turning plans into action and driving real business outcomes.
2. Forum
Following the classroom portion of the Momentum program, participants will join EO Forum groups—often considered the most valuable benefit of EO membership. These small, peer-led groups consist of 6–8 entrepreneurs from non-competing businesses who build deep, trusted relationships over the course of a year.
Each group functions like a personal advisory board, offering a confidential and supportive space to explore both business and personal challenges. Guided by trained EO Houston Member coaches, forum members meet monthly for four-hour sessions where they share their most sensitive issues and collaborate to uncover actionable solutions.
3. EO HOUSTON NETWORK & EVENTS
As a Momentum member, you get to participate in regular EO Houston chapter learning and social events, all of which help you to grow as a business, family and community leader. What’s more, the peer interaction and educational opportunities at these events will help you to become a well-rounded entrepreneur by expanding your network and improving your business knowledge.
